Vyond - Micro-Learning Videos
Vyond is my go-to tool for creating short videos to explain concepts in ways that people easily grasp. It’s ideal for delivering micro-learning and internal communications. I find it’s a way to impart information in a format that instantly engages the audience; in fact, studies show that employees are 75% more likely to watch a video than read text! Additionally, video is uniquely well-suited to storytelling. Research shows that people remember data incorporated into a well-crafted story up to 22 times more than when the data is given on its own. |
Camtasia
For a polished video tutorials, Camtasia is a great option. Video is an excellent tool for internal communication, pre-learning and post learning reinforcement. Camtasia has fantastic screen recording capabilities, so it's also especially useful for creating software demonstrations. |
Articulate Rise
Rise is the newest tool available through the Articulate 360 suite of products. It allows me to create quick, clean, professional, and easy-to-access pieces for clients. There are so many uses for Rise; I tend to think it works best for sharing information. For example, I created a virtual onboarding program using Rise - effectively introducing the organization, team members, product knowledge, brand knowledge, and more. |
Performance Support Materials
Welcome Guides, Quick Reference Guides, and other materials for just-in-time training are all things I create to help clients meet their training needs and achieve their business objectives. Creating digital flip-books is a high-tech, high-touch way to share important information. |
Storyboard
Every e-learning course begins with a storyboard. This document captures the intended on-screen text, visuals, planned interactions, and narration, as well as notes about navigation, hyperlinks, and other essential development details. The storyboard is approved by all designated reviewers on the development agreement prior to moving forward with the actual build out. |
